We had so much fun wearing our hats and fun socks today! Tomorrow is Popsicle Day! Students can donate any amount of money to receive a popsicle. Today, we raised $346.91 for the United Way. This puts our total at $2,196.67! We have set a new goal to raise $2,500 by TOMORROW! Send in all your coins and extra dollars so we can hit our goal. Woot Woot for the United Way!

Tomorrow is Heads & Toes Day! Donate any amount of money & wear your favorite hat and/or crazy socks. Today, we raised enough money to put us over our goal of $1,500! We have raised $1,849.76 for the United Way. Let's keep going to keep the trophy at TNES!

Tomorrow is Popcorn Day! Students can bring any amount of money tomorrow to donate to the United Way to receive a bag of popcorn. We raised $289.96 today. That brings our total to $1,457.76, which is $42.24 away from our goal of raising $1,500 for the United Way! To add an extra incentive, the class that raises the most money by Friday will receive a PIZZA PARTY! Current standings of who has raised the most money so far will be announced tomorrow in Morning Community. Let's keep the momentum going!

We had a great time in our PJs today and raised $308.44 for the United Way. That puts us at $1,168 for our total raised so far! That's only $332 away from our goal of $1,500. Tomorrow is Gum Day! Bring any amount of money to receive a piece of gum. Students give their donation to their teacher in the morning. All proceeds go to the United Way and keeping the trophy at TNES!

Tomorrow, we kick off our United Way Spirit Week with Pajama Day (no slippers, please). Students can donate any amount of money to participate each day. Students will give their donation to their teacher to participate in that day's theme each morning. Last week, we raised $859.36 for the United Way with our Change Challenge. The winning grade will be announced tomorrow during Morning Community & they will receive a soda float party later this month. Our goal is to raise at least $1,500. We are over half way to our goal. Let's keep going so we can keep the trophy at TN!

Tonight is our Fall Festival! There will be Dancing, Food Trucks and a Pumpkin Patch! JLG MexiQ, Over the Top Sandwiches, and Carnival Cravings will be on the playground for any that would like to enjoy dinner! Event starts at 5:30pm and ends at 7:30pm. Can't wait to see you here!

It's that time of year again - United Way campaign time! This week, Tecumseh North is gearing up for a Change Challenge like no other. As the reigning champions we're determined to keep the trophy right where it belongs - at Tecumseh North! Here's how the Change Challenge works: Pennies, $1 bills, $1 coins, and $20 bills will add points to our grade level's total. Nickels, dimes, and quarters will subtract points from our competitors! Let's show our school spirit and our commitment to the United Way. Bring in those coins and bills, and let's keep that trophy at Tecumseh North. Together we can make a difference in our community!

All K-6 USD 450 students are invited to participate in the SHHS Boys Soccer Elementary Night event! Advanced registration is not required, but helpful: https://forms.gle/kBHzHyBVtPyYAueb8 Cheer on the T-Birds as they face DeSoto on Tuesday, September 17th. The JV game starts at 4:30, and the Varsity game starts at 6:00. Students will receive: · Free game entry with a paid adult · Free goodie bag and team poster · Walk on the field with Varsity players during game introductions · Be there by 5:45 and meet at the North end of the field by the goodie bag table to line up with the players. We will have food trucks and a great crowd! Come back to Bettis Sports Center on Wednesday, September 18th, to train with the T-Birds at our first Mini Kicker Clinic! The clinic will be held from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm and is absolutely free to district students!

We are so excited for the Foam Party tonight from 5:30-7:30pm. Please do not park in the bus loop or the back (east side) parking lot. Please enter through the south side of the playground. There will be a table to pay the $5 entry fee and receive a wrist band. Don't forget to bring a towel and your friends! This is a CASH ONLY event. See ya soon!

Due to tightening safety standards within the building, the main exterior door will no longer be unlocked in the morning prior to 8am. It will unlock at 8am and students may enter the foyer only at that time. The main interior doors will be unlocked, like normal, at 8:10am. This means that students will not be able to enter the foyer until 8am. Numerous communication has been sent out regarding not having supervision prior to 8:10am, when students can fully enter the building. While they still cannot enter the building until 8:10am due to no supervision, they may be in the foyer starting at 8am. Please be aware, however, that staff are not on-duty to supervise students in the foyer from 8-8:10am. Lastly, please do not drop your student off before 8am. They will not be able to get into the foyer until 8am and will have to wait outside, which is not safe. Please call the office with questions/clarifications or to receive information for before school care with BGC at 785-379-5910. Thank you!

Panthers-- We have had a great first day of school! It's been so good to see our new and returning students. I know we are going to have a great year! Just a reminder that our school hours have changed. School starts at 8:30am and ends at 3:35pm. Doors still open at 8:10am. For this week, we will start dismissal early to ensure all students get home how they are supposed to. Starting next week, we will start dismissal at 3:35pm. Tomorrow, we will start our normal morning routine. If students are eating breakfast, they will go to the cafeteria when they get in the building. If students are not eating breakfast, they will go to the gym. Students have their breakfast card zip tied to their backpacks. Please leave them on their backpacks so we can use them for breakfast.
