TNES Families-- The TNES office will be closed Monday, May 26th due to Memorial Day. It will be open Tuesday, May 27th at 8am to Wednesday, June 4th at 4pm to close out the 24/25 school year. It will be closed for the summer Thursday, June 5th to Monday, July 28th. The office will open at 8am on Monday, July 28th for the 25/26 school year. Don't forget to come out tonight to our PTO Family Tailgate from 5-7pm on the playground. The food trucks will be in the bus loop. Please park in the front northwest parking lot, the front, or the south side of the school. Carnival Cravings, Pop & Squeeze, Street Corn, & Unique Treats are serving food. There will no taco truck. When: Monday, May 5th from 6:00-8:00ish Who: 5th and 6th graders that are participating this session of Intramurals Where: Shawnee Heights High School What: All 4 elementary schools will have students participating! This is a fun and free family event for the Shawnee Heights Community. You do not need to have a student participating in order to attend the event. The Burger Bus, Poppin Squeeze, and Kona Ice will be open for dinner/concessions at around 5:00. 5th & 6th graders participating in tonight's events will get a free Kona Ice by wearing their track t-shirt.

Our first graders will be selling flowers next Friday, May 9th from 8:45-9:30am. $2 per flower.

TNES 5th/6th Grade Parents/Guardians-- Our 5th and 6th graders have been working hard on their music program and are ready to perform tonight at 6pm in the TNES gym! Below are a few reminders about tonight's performance-- 1. Students should report to their classrooms at 5:45pm. If your student is playing their instrument in the performance, they need to drop off their instrument to the bleachers and then head to their classroom. 2. Dress for tonight is flexible! Since the students are performing a "musical" with the setting being "at school," students can dress in their school clothes. The "musical" also spans several decades (1950s-2020s), so students can dress like their from a decade of their choice (this is not required). Either way, please ensure your student looks "concert ready!" 3. Since this is a combined performance with two grade-levels, it is suggested that families carpool if possible since parking will be limited. Good Morning! I am extending the TNES Camp Invention registration deadline to Monday, April 7th at 4pm. I've had a few questions about cost and if the two weeks of camp are different activities. The cost for Camp Invention is $0 and the activities are different for both weeks! If you have already registered your student(s) and only selected one week but would like your student(s) to attend both weeks, please email me at bivensk@usd450.net to change their registration. I will reply to confirm that I have changed your student(s) registration.
