Esta es nuestra última semana de nuestra Campaña Estudiantil United Way. Estamos haciendo un Reto de Cambio. Traiga centavos, billetes/monedas de $1 y billetes de $20 para agregar puntos al frasco de su nivel de grado. Traiga billetes de cinco, diez centavos, veinticinco centavos y billetes de $5 y $10 para sacarlos del frasco de otros niveles de grado. ¡El grado ganador obtendrá una fiesta de carroza con helado!

This is our last week of our United Way Student Campaign. We are doing a Change Challenge. Bring in pennies, $1 bills/coins, & $20 bills to add points to your grade-level's jar. Bring in nickels, dimes, quarters, $5, & $10 bills to take away from other grade-levels' jar. The winning grade-level will get an ice cream float party!

Bus #27 is running about 10-15 minutes behind schedule. Thank you!

Our Field of Dreams Committee has been working hard over the last year to create a plan for renovating the field north of TNES with an open shelter house and walking trail. We are ready to start raising money for phase one of our project, which is to build an open shelter house. Our first fundraiser will be a walk-a-thon, which will be held on Tuesday, October 31st. More info regarding the walk-a-thon will go home with your student next week. Attached is a flyer with information about our Field of Dreams Committee and their plans for our school! Nuestro Comité del Campo de los Sueños ha estado trabajando arduamente durante el último año para crear un plan para renovar el campo al norte de TNES con un refugio abierto y un sendero para caminar. Tomorrow, we kick off our United Way Spirit Week with Pajama Day! Students will give their donation to their teacher each day. Any amount of money allows students to participate in each day's events. TNES students are the reigning champions of the United Way Student Campaign & we are hoping to keep this title! Thank you in advance for donating as TNES has benefited from several United Way programs over the years. Here's to another successful United Way Student Campaign!

Tuesday, October 3rd is "PINK OUT DAY" as promoted by KSDE to raise awareness that bullying can create. We encourage our panthers to wear pink tomorrow. We will have our weekly TNES spirit day on Thursday this week. So, wear pink tomorrow and your blue/yellow and/or TN gear on Thursday! El martes 3 de octubre es el "DÍA PINK OUT", promovido por KSDE para crear conciencia sobre lo que el acoso puede generar. Animamos a nuestras panteras a vestir de rosa mañana. Reminder! Pie orders are due Monday, Oct. 2nd. If you have your orders completed and money collected they can be turned into the office early! NO Late orders accepted. Most pies sold gets to pie the principal!!

5th/6th Grade Parents--Just a friendly reminder that tonight's music program has been rescheduled for Thursday, November 2nd at 6pm. It will be held in the TNES gym. We will be celebrating our Panther Grandparents next Thursday, September 14th! Our celebration is different this year as we are inviting our Panther Grandparents to come into our classrooms during the school day. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Flyers will be coming home tomorrow, Friday, September 8th as well. Can't wait to see our Panther Grandparents next week!
